WHEN:
7 January 2013
6:30-8:00pm
WHERE:
DePaul Student Center
2250 N. Sheffield, Room 325
Aldermen Michele Smith and Scott Waguespack are hosting a community meeting for the proposed amendment to planned development 491.
Alderman Smith has filed an application, in consultation with Alderman Waguespack’s office, to amend Planned Development No. 491. This Planned Development includes the area bounded by West Webster Avenue, North Seminary Avenue, the alley next south of West Webster Avenue and North Racine. The purpose of the Planned Development amendment is to allow a new restaurant use at 1119 West Webster Avenue, which is the former site of Webster Street Cafe, Cracie’s, and La Canasta. The new restaurant will be a family oriented restaurant serving a mixed culture cuisine with a focus on local and organic food. The Aldermen would also like feedback about the possibility of removing the Planned Development No. 491 designation alltogether and rezoning the above described property as B2-2.
The new property/restaurant owner and his zoning attorney will join Alderman Smith and a representative from Alderman Waguespack’s office to answer any questions you might have. Your attendance and input are extremely important to the Aldermen. Should you have any questions or concerns on this matter, please feel free to contact Alderman Smith’s office at 773-348-9500 or yourvoice@ward43.org.
