The new Chicago City Sticker will be available for purchase at the City Clerk’s office beginning today, Monday, May 12th. Starting on the 15th, you can also purchase the city sticker at participating currency exchanges. All stickers expire June 30, 2014. On Saturday May 31st, we will host the City Clerk for the annual 43rd Ward City Sticker Day at our ward office, 2523 N. Halsted. This is an easy way to renew your sticker and pick up residential day passes, so stop by for some coffee and donuts, and purchase your city stickers right in your ward! To purchase your city sticker you MUST bring your vehicle registration, photo ID, and your renewal form. If yourphoto ID does NOT show your current address you must bring proof of residence (your lease, mortgage, or a current utility bill – hard copy only). If you do not have a renewal form, you MUST bring your state vehicle registration, vehicle title, or insurance card that contains your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The new Year-Round Sticker Sales system will be implemented this year. From now on, your sticker expiration will be set for 6 months after your license plate expires. That will result in a few changes for this year only: – Residents can opt to buy a short term sticker (less than 12 months) or a long term sticker (more than 13 months). The price is pro-rated per month. – Daily residential parking permits will be valid from June 30, 2013 to December 31, 2015. – The discounted senior rate applies to ONE passenger vehicle per senior citizen, and a State ID will only be accepted only if the senior is present. – Truck Permits will continue to be June to June
