The Chicago Department of Public Health is hosting a flu clinic. The flu is a serious illness. On average, more than 200,000 people are hospitalized each year because of complications from the flu. The single best way to protect against seasonal flu and its potential severe complications is for everyone 6 months and older to get an influenza vaccine each year.
Talk to your health care provider or call 311 to find a City of Chicago flu clinic near you. For additional locations, go to www.cityofchicago.org/health. If you have a Medicare card, please take it with you to the clinic. Remember to wash your hands, cover your cough, and when you are sick, stay home.
