Homeless and severely underprivileged youth in Chicago will enjoy a spectacular day of playing games, listening to music, making crafts, eating food, etc. Let’s not forget that each child will receive a shopping bag full of gifts to take home! The very first Dreams for Kids event was held on Christmas Eve, 1989, in a small homeless shelter in the Southside of Chicago. This year, Holiday For Hope will celebrate over 1,500 underprivileged kids, which will continue to be the largest holiday event of its kind in the world. Similar events are hosted across the United States as well as in over 30 countries around the world! Inside shelters and orphanages, on the streets of tiny villages, and in churches, synagogues, and communities, forgotten children of our world will celebrate life, each other, the gift of generosity, and hope for the New Year and their futures.
