Mayor Emanuel’s Ethics Reform Task Force is holding a public hearing to get input on how to improve the ethics code. The Ethics Reform Task Force is charged with assessing the current ethics ordinance, considering best practices on a national level, and making recommendations on strengthening Chicago’s ordinance so there is appropriate oversight of government activity. To engage all Chicagoans in this process, the Task Force will host this series of hearings to update the public on the status of their report, lead a conversation with ethics experts and practitioners, and open the floor to public ideas and comments. For more information, visit the Ethics Task Force website or email EthicsTaskForce@gmail.com.
