The 59th Annual Ginza Festival
The 59th Annual Ginza Holiday, a large Japanese cultural festival, will be presented by the Midwest Buddhist Temple on August 8th, 9th, and 10th at 435 W. Menomonee Street in Chicago’s historic Old Town.
Four Waza Craftsman of Japan will share their unique history with Ginza visitors. The Waza use techniques passed from generation to generation. These master craftsmen create unique, handmade items that embody simple beauty through meticulous craftsmanship. Each item is carefully made through processes developed and refined over the centuries. You’ll find simple, affordable pieces that are made with the same care and precision as those that are more complex. You can also enjoy the outdoor stage, exhibits, food, and music.
