Voting

To qualify to register to vote, a person must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be at least 18 years old by Election Day
  • Have been a resident of the precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day

How do I register?

We have applications in our office that you can mail into the Board of Elections.  You can also register online, by mail, where you go to renew your drivers license, and the Board of Election Headquarters (map).  You can also download the application at the Board of Election website.

What documents do I need to bring in order to register?

If you register in person, you need to present two forms of identification, at least one of which must show your present address.  Acceptable forms of identification include your Driver’s License, state ID, utility bill, mail, paycheck, bank statement, and lease.  If you register via mail or online, you will be asked to present these forms of ID the next time you vote.
